“Murph”

For time: 1 mile Run 100 Pull-ups 200 Push-ups 300 Squats 1 mile Run

In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.

in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.

Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you’ve got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.

"Forging Elite Fitness"- So what makes it elite? Is it that we are "elite" atheletes that can lift more than everyone else? Is it that we are the fastest runners in town? Is it that we are wealthier than everyone, therefore this is our "elite" fitness club? Do we snub our nose at others?

NO WAY!

CrossFit Loomis believes that what makes CrossFit "elite" is the type of training it programs. By no means are we "elite" atheletes, but we have a "let's get it done" attitude. We end up doing incredible and HUGE workouts because we don't back down from the fight. When we see MURPH on the board , we process then execute. When we see a short sprint like FRAN we give 100% everytime. We don't get caught up in negativity. We have accountability. We push each other.

That's what makes it elite, it's the community around that pushes us to our next levels. Where else will you find it?

any other thoughts?
