I just returned back from a leadership retreat where we had to practice the discipline of silence for 6 hours. WOW! it was a challenge to say the least. It made me realize the balance and discipline that is necessary to becoming a "whole" person. Our "silence" as crossfitters is our mobility work. How much time do you devote to lengthening your muscles, working on shoulders, increasing hip mobility and external rotation. Or do we think we have when we spend just a few minutes at the box. Becoming a whole athlete requires all facets of fitness. Nutrition, metabolic conditioning, strength, gymnastics, mobility. (did i forget anything?) Take the time and discipline yourself to become the whole package. Out!
